"Strap in, you’re in for a crazy, cerebral, cinematic ride!"The Hollywood News

"MAD GENIUS" is a psychedelic sci-fi film, born from the modern-maker movement, about a young mad genius attempting to hack the human mind...

Film_Mode_Entertainment-white.png

"If you're a nerd, a misfit... a rebel... you're going to love this film."

"Three years in the making, MAD GENIUS is a 90 minute feature length film born from the minds of modern culture jammers, mental mavericks and digital artisans of underground Los Angeles. It's a highly entertaining film that captures a generation fueled by the potential of human technology, but it does so against the contorted psyche of a young mad man and  the overwhelming problems of modern society. Ultimately the film asks the question, what does the power of technology mean in the hands of a flawed humanity? At times humorous, thrilling, and always mind-bending, Mad Genius will leave you questioning the world around you."

Starring Chris Mason, Scott MechlowiczSpencer Locke, Faran Tahir, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Brandon ScottTehmina Sunny and Levy Tran

The film was written and directed by Royce Gorsuch and is being distributed by Film Mode Entertainment

LEAD GENIUS :: SCOTT MECHLOWICZ

Scott Mechlowicz was an honors graduate of the UCLA Conservatory Acting Program and was first seen in the 2003 film, Neverland. The film, a dark, modernized re-imagining of the childhood classic Peter Pan, was hailed by critics for its bold originality. Later that year, Scott landed the lead role in the DreamWorks movie Eurotrip, which quickly grew a strong cult following.  But Mechlowicz soon found his breakout role in the film  Mean Creek, winner of the Sundance Film Festival’s 2004 Humanitus Award, honoree at the Cannes International Film Festival, and winner of the IFP Cassavetes Independent Spirit Award for Best Film.  Acting opposite Rory Culkin, Mechlowicz’s sharply arresting and dangerous performance as Marty, the troubled leader of an ill-fated group of outsiders, garnered him tremendous critical acclaim, and in 2005 won him a prestigious Independent Spirit Award. The young actor was quickly considered a star on the rise.

Scott was next seen in the film Peaceful Warrior, based on the best-selling novel, opposite Nick Nolte, about a world class college athlete who finds his life irrevocably changed.  He then went on to shoot the Universal Studios film Gone, where Mechlowicz played a skillfully manipulative, and dangerously sophisticated psychopath. He followed with the films Waiting for Forever with Richard Jenkins and Rachel Bilson,  Undocumented, with Peter Stormare, and Cat Run with Paz Vega and Academy Award Nominee Janet McTeer. His next film, Eden, won best picture at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas.
